So, as you might have seen last month, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 are on their way to Nintendo Switch. But the big question is when players will be able to get the opportunity to kill the undead forces of Umbrella with them. Well, the good news is – not too much longer. In fact, Halloween sounds like a pretty good time to us!
Capcom confirmed on its blog today that both games will arrive digitally on the Nintendo eShop starting on October 29. In addition, the games will be available for $29.99 apiece, making them viable bargains for purchase, compared to what they normally sold for upon release.
Now, there’s an interesting caveat for those of you that are looking for a package deal. There IS one, but it’s not quite what you’d expect it to be. Capcom did announce a Resident Evil Triple Pack that is comingto retail on the same date, on October 29, for $59.99. It’s a tremendous value, as it includes Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, along with Resident Evil 4. But…there’s a catch.
The game only features Resident Evil 4 in physical cartridge form. The other two games are only featured as digital downloads. So for those of you that were looking to collect physical versions…well, you’ll only get one out of three here. Still, for those of you that were holding out for RE4…that’s good news, right?
The package includes all the respective DLC for each game, as do the digital releases. So you don’t have to worry about purchasing any extra goods, which is great news for die-hard fans.
So there you have it. If you’re a Resident Evil fan, you’re going to be VERY busy come October, right?
Resident Evil 4 is available digitally now on Nintendo Switch.
