After the horrific crash on the last lap of the Daytona 500, Ryan Newman was rushed to Halifax Health, and last night was said to be in serious condition but had non life threatening injuries. As of Tuesday evening, Ryan is awake and talking to his family.
This is amazing news for everyone, and it’s news that is has all of the racing world breathing a sigh of relief.
In the crash, Newman flew through the air as his car spun around. At the last second, the only real vulnerable part of the car, the window net (area where the drivers get into the car), was t-boned by Corey LaJoie, who was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time.
