Welp, we have one interesting night in the Detroit Lions front office tonight.

Just minutes after signing running back Jamaal Williams to a two-year deal, it appears that the Detroit Lions have one more splash move up their sleeve.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has tweeted numerous posts that the Lions are finalizing a trade to acquire defensive lineman Michael Brockers from the Los Angeles Rams.

Last season with the Rams serving as a compliment to 2020 Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald, Brockers recorded five sacks, 51 total tackles, and ten quarterback hits. In his career, he has 28 sacks, 395 total tackles, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

The details of this possible trade have not been disclosed as of yet. We will update that information in this post when it becomes available.

UPDATE: the Lions are officially sending over a 2023 7th round pick for Brockers and his contract via Ian Rapoport.
