Rams Coach Sean McVay believes Matthew Stafford played excellent against the 49ers

The Los Angeles Rams lost to the San Francisco 49ers 24-9 in Week Four to drop to 2-2 on the season. The defending Super Bowl Champions did not look good in the loss.

The Rams offense was held without a touchdown while gaining 257 yards, giving up seven sacks and turning the ball over twice. QB Matthew Stafford was responsible for both of those turnovers. The Rams passing game continues to be heavily focused on WR Cooper Kupp and TE Tyler Higbee.

The offensive line play has made life difficult for Stafford, but his play through first four weeks isn’t where the Rams need it to be for them to achieve the level of success that they had last year.

McVay seems to be trying to pump up his QB and raise his confidence, but he has to be concerned with his QB’s play.
