Raiders do not have the money to fire Josh McDaniels

Written by Tony Ghaul

The Las Vegas Raiders have went from a playoff team last year, to a bottom feeder team. After making the playoffs last year amidst all the adversity the team faced, it seemed things could only go up. They went out and hired Bill Belichick protege Josh McDaniels to be the Head Coach.

The Raiders then went out and traded for superstar WR Davante Adams. With those two moves, they were hoping for big things this year.

The Raiders sit with a 2-7 record through 10 weeks and they cannot fire McDaniels because they do not have the money to do so.

“They don’t have the money to fire him.” The team is “cash poor” and can’t afford to fire McDaniels.

The Raiders were in a must-win game to save their season on Sunday, and they lost to the Indianapolis Colts at home. The Colts just hired Jeff Saturday whose only coaching experience was in high school. The Colts jumped out to a 10-0 lead and won, 25-20.

The Raiders are 2-7 on the season and look to be fighting for draft position at this point of the year. McDaniels has now lost 24 of his last 31 games as a head coach.
