PSE Exclusive: NWA Talent Seeking Other Bookings

The NWA will apparently not be running any live events until at least next year because of the virus pandemic.

I have been told that NWA talent currently under contract have been “temporarily released” until January 2021. They will be allowed to pursue independent wrestling bookings in that time to compensate for the lack of NWA shows this year.

The only events The NWA had this year were back in January in Atlanta. The Hard Times pay-per-view took place on 1/24/20 with Eli Drake and James Storm winning the NWA World Tag Team Titles in a 3-way tag match over The Rock and Roll Express (the champions coming in) and Royce Issacs and Thom Latimer, Thunder Rosa defeating NWA Women’s Champion Allysin Kay to win the title, and Ricky Starks winning the vacant NWA TV Title by defeating Trevor Murdoch in the tournament finals. They taped episodes for NWA Powerrr on 1/25 and 1/26 with Zicky Dice defeating Ricky Starks for the NWA TV Title.

Nick Aldis still remains NWA World Champion and Aron Stevens still holds the NWA National Title.

In recent weeks, the company has been airing a comedy variety show called “CarnyLand” each Tuesday in the 6:05pm spot on YouTube, as well as pro wrestling talk shows on YouTube throughout the week.
