Portland Trailblazers Integral Member of Team Passes Away

Written by Chris Powers

It seems like so many people on professional sports have passed away this year. An inordinate amount of individuals involved in professionals sports, whether it is the NBA, NFL, MLB or NHL have lost their lives in 2021.

Unfortunately, tragedy has now struck again in the NBA with the Portland Trailblazers. While he was not with the team when he passed away, long time Trailblazers trainer, Ron Culp has passed away. Culp was the trainer for Portland from 1974-1987. He finished his career in the NBA working with the Miami Heat and work a total of 30 seasons in the NBA. Both the Heat and Trailblazers considered Culp as an integral member of their respective teams.

In other Portland Trailblazers news, it was announced that Damian Lillard has now committed to playing on the USA Olympic team in Tokyo later this summer.

Aside from Lillard committing, it sounds like Draymond Green is on board as well. For information on the story, check out the video below.
