Police report filed against Bobby Wagner by fan that he tackled

In the Los Angeles Rams Week 4 loss, there was an incident that occurred between a streaker and starting LB Bobby Wagner. Just before halftime, the fan made his way onto the field, and was subsequently leveled by Wagner with a ferocious hit that swiftly ended his 15 seconds of fame.

Armed with a pink flare-like device, the fan was arrested, and few thought much of the situation. On Wednesday afternoon, the streaker filed a police report with the Santa Clara Police Department.

Whether his report will lead to any formal investigation is unclear at this juncture. I think that the streaker would will still be held liable for his disruption of Monday night’s game regardless of the outcome. He and his representatives are claiming that a “blatant assault” by Wagner and another Rams player took place, but the veracity of their statement in the eyes of the law is to be determined.
