Team USA was down a couple runs in the 8th inning when they loaded the bases with nobody out. Pitching change. Trea Turner comes to the plate. Goes down 0-2. Then boom! He crushes the ball to the left field bleachers.
Team USA goes up 9 to 7. It was exactly what Team USA needed as all of the momentum had shifted into Venezuela’s favor.
Turner’s grand slam turned the tide and quieted the crowd.
