Philadelphia Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski appeared on Sports Radio 94.1 WIP and said that he doesn’t expect top prospect Andrew Painter to pitch in any games during the 2024 season.

Painter is recovering from Tommy John surgery. He was potentially going to make the roster out of spring training in 2023 but that got derailed by the elbow injury that required surgery.

Painter is the Phillies No. 1 prospect and the No. 27 prospect in all of baseball. It looks like we will have to wait until 2025, to see Painter pitch.
