Phillies Optioned Pitcher Bailey Falter To Triple-A

Philadelphia Phillies optioned LHP Bailey Falter to Triple-A. To fill his spot on the 26-man roster, RHP Erich Uelmen has been recalled from Lehigh Valley, as per Todd Zolecki.

Falter has struggled this season. He is 0-7 with a 5.13 ERA. Falter is the first Phillies starter to open a season 0-7 since Jerad Eickhoff in 2017.

Last night, Falter allowed eight hits and six unearned runs in 4 1/3 innings in the Phillies 6-3 loss to the Giants at Oracle Park.

Last season, Falter went 6-4 with a 3.86 ERA in 20 appearances (16 starts) last season.
