The Philadelphia Phillies acquired relief pitcher Michael Rucker in a trade with the Chicago Cubs for cash considerations, as per Meghan Montemurro of The Chicago Tribune.

Rucker pitched in 35 games for the Cubs in 2023. He had a 4.91 ERA with 40 strikeouts and 19 walks.

In his three year career, Rucker has a record of 5-2 in 96 games with an ERA of 4.96.

To make room for Rucker on the 40-man roster, the Phillies designated right-handed pitcher Andrew Bellatti for assignment.
