Long-time Philadelphia sports radio host Angelo Cataldi signed off from 94.1 WIP on Friday to begin his much-anticipated retirement.
Cataldi hoped that he would end his career with another parade down Broad Street, but the Eagles came up short in Super Bowl LVII, losing 38-35 to the Kansas City Chiefs.
For 33 years, Cataldi’s morning show pulled huge ratings and dominated sports talk radio. In many ways, he served as the voice of the Philadelphia sports fan.
Whether, you loved him or hated him, there is no denying his impact on Philadelphia sports talk. He will definitely be missed.
