According to TMZ, Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges.
Sills, 25, was indicted on two first-degree felonies in Ohio. According to the indictment from December 2019, Sills “engaged in sexual activity that was not consensual and held a victim against her will”.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced that the incident was immediately reported and an investigation from the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office followed.
Sills joined the Eagles this year and played one game in his rookie season. He has been issued a summons to appear at court on February 16. Sills is a backup guard on the offensive line and plays special teams, too.
The Eagles have yet to publicly comment on the charges and there is no word if he will suit up for the Super Bowl in Arizona against the Chiefs.
