Patriots Re-Sign Clutch Kicker Stephen Gostkowski

Written by Brad Shepard

The New England Patriots locked in a critical part of their offense on Tuesday, re-signing kicker Stephen Gostkowski to a two-year deal worth $8.5 million.

Ultimately, Gostkoswki was on the free agent market for only a brief time. He wanted to stay in New England, and they wanted him to stay, if the deal made sense financially.

The 35-year-old Gostkowski has won three Super Bowls with the Patriots, over the course of his 13-year-career.

He makes an impressive 87.4% of his kicks and has been selected to the Pro Bowl on four different occasions.
