This weekend’s Week 2 of the 2023 NFL Preseason sought another scary injury to a player on the field, This time, it was enough to suspend a game.
With 10:29 to go in the fourth quarter at Lambeau Field, New England Patriots defensive back Isaiah Bolden suffered a critical head/neck injury when trying to make a play against the Green Bay Packers Saturday night.
As you can below, Bolden was covering Green Bay wide receiver Malik Heath when he collided with his own teammate and was unresponsive afterwards.
Both teams would wait around for a few minutes until both teams agreed to call the game based on the severity of Bolden’s injury. The Patriots rookie was eventually carted off after their meeting.
However, there is good news as Ari Meirov of Pro Football Focus reports that Bolden has feeling in all of his extremities, but will remain overnight at a local hospital for observation.
Even though the Patriots have defeated the Packers, 21-17, our thoughts and prayers go out to Bolden at this time.
