The Panthers are hosting visits for three NFL draft prospects in QB’s Matt Corral, Malik Willis, and Desmond Ritter, per Jordan Schultz.

The Panthers don’t necessarily claim to be desperate at QB, even though they only have Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker. There were reports that they are not interested in trading for QB Baker Mayfield, but that could also change if and when Baker is released. After losing out on the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes, the Panthers wanted to try and play it cool and not look desperate for a new QB. Time will tell when the #Panthers select their first round pick in this upcoming draft. The Panthers hold the 6th overall pick in the draft, and it’s hard to imagine that they will not use that pick on a QB.

The Panthers are making it known that they are interested in acquiring a new QB in the draft and not by signing a veteran via free agency or trading for one. With these three QB prospects visiting the Panthers on April 12th, They will have decisions to make, because it’s very likely that multiple QB’s are going to be available when the 6th pick comes around.

This morning a very reliable source tells me that the team is high on Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett. A few NFL Mock Drafts have the Panthers selecting an offensive lineman with the 6th pick, and also no QB’s being selected in the top 10. There is not doubt that the Panthers will have multiple options at QB when their time comes. Who will be their pick? Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett, or OL Evan Neal? Could it be possible that the team can select a new play caller in a later round? Their next pick isn’t until the 4th round, so they should pick a new QB while they can.
