Fans of the 1985 beloved vampire horror movie “Fright Night” have something very special to look forward to tonight at 8pm EST. The surviving cast will be together again to do a special reading of the film’s script followed by a Q&A with the stars and writer/director Tom Holland.
The event is to help raise money for the Michigan Democrats. You can donate any amount to get access to the broadcast.
William Ragsdale and Amanda Bearse are back as young sweethearts Charley Brewster and Amy Peterson. Chris Sarandon and Jonathan Stark reprise their roles as Charley’s charming and creepy neighbors. Stephen Geoffreys returns as outcast “Evil Ed”. Dorthy Fielding is once again Charley’s mother.
The late Roddy McDowall is almost irreplaceable as the TV show horror host character Peter Vincent at the end of his career, but this event has found Mark Hamill as big star power to fill the void to take on the role of the cowardly vampire hunter.
Ben McKenzie from TV hits “The OC”, “Southland”, and “Gotham” will serve as the narrator for the read.
Rosario Dawson has also been announced at the last minute for a scheduled appearance.
