The Ohio State Buckeyes lost their third straight game to their bitter arch rivals the Michigan Wolverines 30-24 yesterday at Ann Arbor.

This was Head Coach Ryan Day’s third straight loss in the game that matters more than any game that Ohio State plays. Inability to defeat the other in this heated rivalry has cost successfull Head Coach’s their job.

Day has been very successful. He has a record of 56-7 at Ohio State. Day has a record of 39-3 in conference play. That kind of success would be great at most schools.

At Ohio State, beating Michigan is far and away the most important thing, but also with a roster littered with four and five recruits, a National Championship should be accomplished too.

The Buckeyes played a really good game against Michigan on the road, but this is the game. It’s always a marquee matchup. The last few years it’s been a battle of two of the top teams in country.

It’s doubtful, that Day and Ohio State will part ways. The Buckeyes are still in the mix of the playoff conversation.

Day has won many games and has recruited top talent, but failures like yesterday are beginning to add up.

It’s only one loss, but to Buckeye Nation it’s a big one. At some point, something has to give.
