Things got heated between Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day and Rutgers Head Coach Greg Schiano on the field, after the Buckeyes faked a punt while leading by 39 late in the game.

The Ohio State punter just pulled the ball and ran when Rutgers offered a lane and then the OSU punter got hammered out of bounds in front of his own sideline by Rutgers WR Aron Cruickshank.

A scrum started as Ohio State and Rutgers players got into it and then Schiano came across the field. Schiano, was clearly upset about the fake punt and Day, was not happy the late hit.

Schiano came across the field and he Day were seen going after each other, yelling and pointing fingers. Day and Schiano got really close, with just an official between the two Head Coaches. Day came out pointing a finger at Schiano before the official stepped between. Schiano appeared to respond angrily.

Both coaches were assessed an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for their actions and Cruickshank was ejected for the hit because it was “flagrant,” according to the officials.
