Remember the name Nathan Patterson because this story is going to be a memorable one.
The fan threw some heat at a Colorado Rockies game during one of the speed pitch challenges for the fans. The Oakland Athletics took notice and actually offered the fan a contract for the team in which Patterson accepted.
Nathan’s brother Christian Patterson posted the video:
Guys, we were just chillin at a @rockies baseball game, and my brother decided to step into a speed pitch challenge…he hit 96 mph 😳 @MLB Let’s get him signed! pic.twitter.com/g0fKrvUxzt

The moral of the story here is if you have a passion for anything in your life and you feel like you might not make it to the goal you’d like never give up on your dreams like Nathan did. You never know if or when an opportunity can present itself, even at a Major League Baseball game throwing gas during a fastest pitch contest.
Nathan Patterson did send out a few tweets thanking Oakland for the opportunity and stating that the story isn’t over and he will be writing the next chapter of his journey.
Go after your dreams and make them a reality!
