Jets safety Jordan Whitehead didn’t think his hit against Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson in Week 13 should have been a penalty. He was really angry Friday when the NFL fined him $15,000 for the play.
Whitehead was penalized for unnecessary roughness after Jefferson made a catch over the middle. It appeared Whitehead drove Jefferson to the turf with a shoulder-to-shoulder hit. It was a hard hit, but did not dirty.
Whitehead was in complete shock, when the flag was thrown. The Jets and Whitehead have a crucial AFC East matchup against the Bills this week.
