The biggest game of Notre Dame Head Coach Marcus Freeman’s tenure takes place Saturday night, as Ohio State comes to South Bend to take on the Fighting Irish.
Both teams are ranked in the top ten, as Ohio State (3-0) is ranked #6 and Notre Dame (4-0) is ranked #9. Last year’s matchup in Columbus, Ohio State defeated Notre Dame 21-10.
This year the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a much more talented team. They are led by Wake Forest transfer QB Sam Hartman, who has 1,061 yards passing with a 71.1% completion percentage, 13 touchdown passes and zero interceptions.
The rushing attack is led by Audric Estime, who has 521 yards and 5 touchdowns. Wide receiver’s Chris Tyree, Jayden Thomas, Tobias Merriweather and Jaden Greathouse lead a deep group of talent pass catchers for QB Sam Hartman to get the ball to.
Ohio State comes into this game with top WR in the country in Marvin Harrison, Jr. and a first year starter at QB with Kyle McCord.
The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 PM. ESPN’s College Game Day pregame show will on site for the matchup. This is Saturday’s big game. I look for the Notre Dame Fighting to defeat Ohio State 31-23.
