Notre Dame Football lands HUGE commitment at QB; Grandson Of This Football Legend!

As Notre Dame Football prepares for their 2022 Season, they find themselves looking at landing another HUGE commitment!

Five-Star QB, CJ Carr, the grandson of former legendary Michigan Head Football Coach Lloyd Carr committed to Notre Dame. Marcus Freeman’s recruiting ability continues to give Notre Dame football a huge boost. Coach Freeman has once again proved he has great recruiting skills. These young athletes seem to take to him, and that’s a great thing for Notre Dame’s Football Program.

The Irish landed a commitment from five-star quarterback CJ Carr on Thursday. That’s notable not just because Carr is one of the top QB prospects in the class of 2024. He’s also the grandson of Michigan national title-winning head coach Lloyd Carr.

Carr probably should have been a layup for the Wolverines but Freeman, OC Tommy Rees and Notre Dame got the nod instead. It’s a sign of how power could shift in favor of the Irish under the new regime. As a sophomore starter in 2021, Carr threw for 2,696 yards and 28 touchdowns. He had just four interceptions. Most scouts call him a very “Cerebral Player”. Only time will tell, but with Notre Dame landing this very sought-after recruit, they keep looking to make their bid at a National Championship.
