The Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished the 2023 season with a 40-8 win over 19th-ranked Oregon State on Friday at the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl.

QB Steve Angeli led the Fighting Irish completing 15 of 19 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns in the win. He also rushed for 27 yards on three carries.

Angeli got the start, because Sam Hartman opted out of the Sun Bowl to prepare for the 2024 NFL Draft.

It was a stellar performance by Angeli and the Notre Dame offense. WR Jordan Faison caught five passes for 115 yards and one score. Jayden Thomas and Jeremiyah Love also caught touchdown passes and Jadarian Price and Chase Ketterer ran for touchdowns.

This was Notre Dame’s 10th win of the season. Marcus Freeman Freeman improved to 2-1 in bowl games as a Head Coach.

With Angeli’s impressive performance and Duke transfer Riley Leonard, the Fighting Irish should be set at the QB position in 2024.
