Northwestern defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore ran a 4.54 40-yard sprint.
The 280-pound lineman broke record for the fastest 40 by a player at his position. The record was held by Aaron Donald.
Donald set the record in 2014 when he was a draft prospect from Pittsburgh. He was the 13th overall pick by the Rams and has went on to NFL stardom.
Adebawore had 38 tackles last season, along with 9 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. In 2021, he had 36 tackles 8.5 sacks and 4.5 sacks.
Adebawore actually broke the record of Pitt defensive lineman Calijah Kancey, who bested Donald’s record with a 4.67 mark set earlier in the day.
Adebawore also recorded a 37.5-inch vertical jump and 10’5″ broad jump.
