Philadelphia Phillies RF Nick Castellanos hit a home run, single, sacrifice fly and drove in four runs to his team to a 5-4 victory over the New York Mets yesterday.
Castellanos now has three homers in the last two games. He also made the big defensive play in a win over the Atlanta Braves. Castellanos now has 102 RBIs, which is a career high for him.
Alec Bohm also homered and Bryce Harper added two hits for the Phillies, who improved to 84-69 on the season.
Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez went 6 2/3 innings and allowed five hits and four runs with six strikeouts and two walks. He picked up his fourth win on the season.
Jose Alvarado threw a scoreless ninth inning for his ninth save. He struck out Mets slugger Pete Alonso to end the game.
Nick Castellanos is suddenly one of the hottest hitters in baseball and this bodes well for the Phillies as they charge toward the postseason.
