Written by Tony Ghaul

Nick Castellanos hit two solo home runs and also doubled to lead the Philadelphia Phillies past the Colorado Rockies 4-3 on Saturday.

Cristian Pache added a solo homer, single and two RBI for the Phillies, who have won two in a row.

Phillies starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez pitched 4 1/3 innings in his season debut and allowed five hits and three runs with five strikeouts and two walks.

Connor Brogdon earned the win in relief. He gave up one hit in 1 2/3 innings. Craig Kimbrel picked up the save.

The two home runs by Castellanos, were his first of the season. It was an encouraging performance from the Phillies who kept it close and fought to the end for a win.

The Phillies will go for the series win on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park. Zack Wheeler will be taking the mound for Philadelphia and is slated to face Jose Urena of the Rockies.

First pitch is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. ET.
