NFL’s Most Overrated Player

Written by Tony Ghaul

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is the most overrated player in the NFL. The fact the Cowboys gave him a four-year, $160 million contract is hilarious. The Cowboys got pantsed by Dak Prescott and his agent.

Prescott is stat compiler. He pads his stats against inferior teams with inferior secondaries. When he faces good teams, with good defenses, you see who he really is, a phony and a fraud. He is 1-3 in the playoffs, with his latest defeat coming against the 49ers at home. The Cowboys were the #2 seed in the NFC and got thoroughly dominated.

Prescott was his typical self on Sunday losing to a Packers team that was coming off five humiliating losses in a row. He ended up with his typical mediocre stats for the game. Prescott completed 27-of-46 for 265 yards and three touchdowns and two interceptions. One of his interceptions was thrown in the end zone. Prescott’s two interceptions lead to a pair of Packers touchdowns.

Prescott is good at dink-n-dunk short crossing routes to the TE or Slot receivers. He is woeful at hitting a moving receiver in stride or going deep downfield. Prescott is prone to overthrow streak routes, often missing a wide open receiver by a couple of yards, and is very spotty in finding the open man when his primary is well covered.

If you wanted to rank the 32 starting QB’s in the league, he would be in the 16–20 range. The Cowboys are paying him like he’s a top 10 QB and that is comical.

The Cowboys franchise looks like a bunch of clowns here, even more than they already were, and are doomed to mediocrity. This bodes well for the rest of the NFC East.
