The Pittsburgh Steelers are in need of a quarterback with Ben Roethlisberger retiring.
Jimmy Garoppolo is expecting a trade from the San Francisco 49ers and would prefer a trade to a contending team.
So it would make sense if the Steelers were “working hard” to make a deal with the 49ers to land Garoppolo.
If he gets traded, it will be the second time in his career doing so, as he was traded from the New England Patriots to the 49ers after 2017.
There has been some speculation as to the Steelers possibly drafting a quarterback, but if they don’t like any of the options, then a trade for a veteran such as Garoppolo seems like a likely option.
