NFL Rumors: Carolina Panthers looking to trade for Deshaun Watson?

Written by Doug Rush

Deshaun Watson’s legal issues could finally be getting cleared up soon enough, and he could be back on an NFL field soon.

One team that could be in play for Watson’s services is the Carolina Panthers, who are in need of a quarterback.

A year ago, the Panthers acquired Sam Darnold in a trade with the New York Jets, but it didn’t work out. The Panthers also brought back Cam Newton, and he had his moments, but he isn’t the same player he once was when he was the NFL MVP back in 2015.

The Miami Dolphins were once thought of as a possible destination for Watson, but Miami and their new head coach Mike McDaniel is standing behind Tua Tagovailoa; the team’s first round pick from 2020.
