The 2023 NFL Playoffs are here and with that you need to know the latest on the matchups and outlooks for all the games slated for an action packed 1st round!
Chargers v Jaguars
In the first wildcard matchup we have two underdog teams in the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angelos Chargers. Both teams are kind of surprise Playoff teams as they both missed out last year on the opportunity. With two very good quarterbacks and high powered offenses this should be an interesting matchup since both teams are not known for having great defenses. Look out for a very tough matchup for both teams as they are both young and inexperienced when it comes to the postseason. Look for a big game for Justin Herbert as he asserts himself as a top ten Quarterback in the NFL. And if you are looking for the odds for this, BetWay has you covered.
Ravens v Bengals
In an AFC North rivalry matchup the Ravens roll into Cincinnati trying to not allow the Bengals to get back to the Super Bowl. This matchup has a lot of storylines particularly off of the field, with the Ravens extending linebacker Roquan Smith to a five year 100 million dollar contract it begs the question why have not the Ravens used the money to extend their MVP Quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson has been ‘hurt’ for a few weeks now and it begs the question if he is looking out for his best interest in efforts to secure the bag from another team. The big question is will Lamar comeback and spoil Joe Burrow and Bengals plans of going back to the Super Bowl? The Bengals on the other hand look poised to go back to the Super Bowl and they are among the favorites in the AFC along with the Bills and Chiefs.
Dolphins v Bills
With the Damar Hamlin situation that has captivated the nation the Bills seem like a team of destiny right now and seem tough to bet. The question begs who will stand in their way besides potentially the Chiefs and maybe the Bengals as they only teams that can challenge them from making a Super Bowl bid. The Dolphins on the other hand seem a defeated team, no Tua and no hope. I expect an easy victory for the Buffalo Bills.
Cowboys v Tampa Bay
This is where the Cowboys always and forever let down their fanbase. After a very successful regular season where the offense and defense seem to be clicking on all cylinders they have to face the GOAT Tom Brady. Brady is 6-0 lifetime against the Cowboys and looks to keep that winning streak alive. Tom is a different breed when it comes to the post season and expect him and this Buccaneers team to make a deep run. The Cowboys on the other hand are finally looking to prove the naysayers wrong and they are trying to make a run for themselves. Limiting Brady will be their answer to get further in the Playoffs.
Giants v Vikings
What a turnaround for the New York Giants this season Brian Daboll rolls into town and is turning around the ship for this franchise and leading them into the post season. The Viking are the worst twelve win team in the NFL and Kurt Cousins is the biggest MUSH in the world. For a twelve win team I believe a lot of people probably have this team making first round exit. If they do watch out for this young Giants team.
Seahawks v Niners
This matchup has two great stories in it and it involves both Quarterbacks; Brock Purdy and Geno Smith. Brock Purdy Mr. Irrelevant is lighting the world on fire and leading this juggernaut team to the post season and many people have this 49ers team as the favorite in the NFC to make the Super Bowl. This team is elite on the offensive side and defensive side of the football. The fact they can plug a guy like Brock Purdy into the offense and he is producing at this high of a league speaks to one of two things; he is very good, or this team has a great system. I will leave that up to discussion. Geno Smith on the other hand is Mr. They wrote me off but I didn’t write back. What a season he is having he needs to be in the conversation of most improve and potentially MVP his numbers are crazy and he is going to get a nice payday this offseason.
