NFL Legend Joe Montana Gets Credited For Winning An Extra Super Bowl On NBC Broadcast

NFL Hall of Fame QB Joe Montana, who was a star at Notre Dame and led them to a National Championship in 1977, was interviewed during the NBC Broadcast of the Notre Dame-Navy matchup on Saturday in Dublin, Ireland.

During a timeout in the third quarter of the game, Montana was being interviewed on air about his alma mater, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the NBC Broadcast identified Montana as a “5-Time Super Bowl Champion.”

Montana won four Super Bowl’s as the QB of the San Francisco 49ers from 1979-1992. Steve Young was the QB for the 49ers 5th Super Bowl championship in 1994. Montana was at the helm of the Kansas City Chiefs during that season.
