If you are a fan of the NFL or are just a good person in general you might want to send your thoughts over to Dallas Cowboys HOF running back Emmitt Smith.
Smith who is a three-time Super Bowl champ who spent 15 years in the NFL, posted on Twitter on Tuesday of this last week to announce that his father had sadly passed away.
Talk about a sad and tough loss for Emmitt and his entire family.
“The man who inspired me to play the game of football has transitioned to be the lord,” the 53-year-old wrote. “I will miss your timely advice but will hold on to the things you and my first love taught me, my brothers and sisters. [Love] U Pop.”
