NFL All-Pro Has High Praise For Eagles QB Jalen Hurts’ Super Bowl Performance

Written by Tony Ghaul

Kansas City Chiefs DE Chris Jones says Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts had the greatest QB Super Bowl performance he’s ever seen : “He had the best performance in the Super Bowl that I’ve ever seen of a quarterback – running the ball, throwing the ball. He balled out.”, as per Eagles Nation.

Hurts and the Eagles put up 35 points in the Super Bowl, unfortunately the Chiefs scored 38 in offensive shootout.

Hurts threw for 304 yards and threw a touchdown pass, and rushed for 70 yards and scored three rushing touchdowns, the most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in Super Bowl history.

Jones had the task of trying to stop the Eagles star QB, so his opinion on the performance, comes from personal experience. It’s high praise coming from the 2022 First-Team All-Pro defensive end.

Jones is currently holding out from the Chiefs training camp. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $80 million contract. Jones wants to secure a new long-term deal.

Hurts signed a five-year contract extension for $255 million ($180 million guaranteed), back on April 17, 2023. The Eagles rewarded their franchise QB and now he’s trying to get back to the Super Bowl to take the Lombardi Trophy this time.
