New York Giants Release Running Back In Surprise Move!

Written by Chris Powers

One of the the teams with the fewest amount of drama going on right now in the NFL is without question the New York Giants. There’s not a whole lot of quarterback controversy and there has been no major storylines about the Giants during the off-season.

With that said, the Giants surprisingly did release one of their running backs earlier this week.

The Giants claimed Armstead off waivers from the Jaguars during the middle of May. Jacksonville picked Armstead in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft. He played in every single game during his rookie season and had 35 carries for 108 yards and caught 14 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

In other New York Giants news, starting quarterback Daniel Jones recently conducted an interview on what he expects of Saquon Barkley in the upcoming 2021 season. Check out the video below to see what he has to say on the issue.
