New York Giants Head Coach Dies

Written by austenlange

These are the sports stories you absolutely hate to see. None of us want to see anyones life come to an end but as of last night Jim Fassel, Ex Head Coach of The New York Giants passed away.

Fassel was a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and was admitted into the hospital late Sunday night with chest pains, his son reported. Fassel was the Head Coach of The New York Giants from 1997-2003. Leading the team to 3 playoff births and earning NFL Coach of the Year in 1997.

“Big part of my life. Just a great man, great coach. And he will be missed. I was definitely shocked this morning to find out this news,” Giants legend Michael Strahan said on ‘Good Morning America.’ “I just want to send my love and condolences to his family. Great man. Enjoyed every minute with him as my coach and after my career when we continued to stay in touch and talk.”

Jim Fassel, former University of Utah, New York Giants head coach, dies at 71

Strahan actually played for Fassel, and seeing how he spoke about him revealed who he truly was. To the Fassel family and all involved I’m sending good wishes your way.
