The Portland Trail Blazers fire sale is continuing as the NBA Trade Deadline approaches on Thursday and they are shipping off one of their biggest assets.

The New Orleans Pelicans are set to acquire CJ McCollum from the Blazers.

In 36 games for the Blazers, the 30-year-old McCollum is averaging 20.6 points per game and will make for a solid addition to New Orleans that has Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, although he is still recovering from a foot injury.

Despite that, the Pelicans are the 10th seed in the NBA playoffs in the Western Conference and are looking to make a possible playoff push.

McCollum is the latest player to be dealt by Portland, as they already shipped out Norman Powell and Robert Covington last week to the Los Angeles Clippers.
