New England Patriots Super Bowl Legend Rides Off Into Retirement

It appears that long time New England Patriot James White is stepping away from the game of football and will be retiring his professional career.

White is somewhat of a Patriots legend/folk-hero. In Super Bowl LI White fully cemented himself into the history books by capping off a 28-3 comeback (biggest in the history of the Super Bowl) against the Atlanta Falcons in over-time.

White will forever be remembered for his valiant efforts for the Patriots. Tom Brady has been noted saying he is a grinder and works just as hard as any other player he’s had on his teams.

stats from ProFootball Reference

White finishes his career with over 3200 receiving yards and 1278 career rushing yards.

I hope James enjoys his retirement to the fullest, he deserves it.
