Could Ben Simmons be on the move to Beantown?

Simmons, who has yet to play in a single game for the Philadelphia 76ers due to his ongoing issues with mental health and his falling out with the team going back to the summer, has been linked to a possible trade that could send him to the Boston Celtics, as per Shams Charina of The Athletic.

The trade talks include the Celtics sending Jaylen Brown back to the 76ers, plus Bruno Fernando, who would likely get waived.

The trade would work on both sides, as Simmons would get a chance to rejuvenate his career with Boston, as he is a superior defender who can attack the basket. However, it is well documented how he has struggled with shooting, especially from the free-throw line

While Brown might be the player the 76ers absolutely have to have in a trade for Simmons, he could be the best-case scenario in a trade, as Brown has been a rising star in Boston and could continue to do so playing alongside Joel Embiid.

Simmons has been very uncooperative with the 76ers as far as his mental health issues go and some even wonder if Simmons is faking things to get himself traded out of Philadelphia.

If a trade were to happen, it might not be in the immediate present, as Brown is on the shelf for at least 1-2 weeks with a hamstring issue.

But for now, the speculation on Simmons future continues.
