N.J. high school football player Kwinten Ives has been dominating the competition

Written by Tony Ghaul

Kwinten Ives is a senior RB for the Palmyra high school football team and he has had a dominant start to the 2022 season. Palmyra is off to a 4-1 start and Ives has been leading the way.

On his first carry of the season, Ives went 50 yards for a touchdown and then on his second carry, he takes it 57 yards for the score. Ives finished the game with 13 carries for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns in Palmyra’s 33-16 victory over Gloucester Catholic.

Ives has been electrifying the Palmyra fans with his play. He has big time speed, and when gets in the open field, no one is catching him. Ives has had 6 touchdown runs of more than 50 yards this season. In last week’s win, he caught a 40 yard touchdown pass to end the first half.

Ives had has his best game of the season last week with 21 carries for 252 yards and 4 touchdowns. He added 3 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown in Palmyra’s 41-8 victory over Cherry Hill East.

Through the first 5 games this season, Ives has carried the ball 76 times for 1,005 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also has, 1 touchdown receiving.

Kwinten Ives is on the radar of Division 1 college football programs. He has received offers from Temple and Stony Brook. He has visited the University of Connecticut, and has gotten attention from Rutgers and the University of Pittsburgh. He is listed at 6’3″ and 180 pounds. My son Nino is teammate of Kwinten and he speaks very highly of him.

Palmyra has a big battle at Florence High School this Friday and I am sure that Ives will provide more highlight reel plays.
