My Completely Biased All-Time Packers Team

Written by Matt Chasteen

I love historical sports. From books that show you behind the scenes of the WWE at its pinnacle to “Never Die Easy” the biography of Walter Payton (as a Packers fan living in the heart of Illinois, I loathe the Bears, but I respect greatness and Walter was without a shadow of a doubt THE GOAT.) My favorite books are all about the Lombardi-era Packers. “When Pride Still Mattered” is basically my bible. I have read this biography of St. Vincent no less than 15 times. And it is thick.

I love the thought of super teams being comprised from all eras. It’s just fun to think about, regardless if people think the older guys couldn’t play in todays game. I also think that good ol’ Mitchell Trubisky would quite the game in a heartbeat the first time he got bit in a pile by Ray Nitschke.

I’ve compiled my team of all-time great Packers. Some of these will not be popular opinion. Some of them are just obvious. Either way, I feel no need to explain myself, as I believe the options speak for themselves. If you disagree, or think I missed someone, leave a comment and let me know.
