We have a piece of good news to share as Nante Miemi, the 8-year-old boy who went missing in the western Upper Peninsula’s Porcupine Mountains, has been found safe via WLUC TV 6.

For those in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula who have not known, Miemi disappeared while camping with family members at around 1:00 EST this past Saturday. He was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and black boots.
With a couple teams searching over 49 hours, volunteers found him under a log in which he used for shelter—two miles from his campsite. Nante is reportedly in good health and has reunited with his family.
Taking part in the search are Michigan State Police (MSP) Troopers from the Wakefield Post, about 150 search and rescue personnel from MSP, local police officers and nine K9s.
MSP has thanked the volunteers and local authorities for their assistance on helping locate Miemi.
