In what is the final regular season game for the Minnesota Timberwolves this afternoon, things got heated in the middle during their 113-108 win against the New Orleans Pelicans.
In a viral video that is circulating through Twitter, T’Wolves forward/center Rudy Gobert was seen shouting at teammate in forward Kyle Anderson for a few seconds before throwing a punch to Anderson’s chest/shoulder in the huddle on the bench.
Seemed like a little excessive for the player out of France as Gobert was eventually sent home by the team for the punch. However, it was not the only physical altercation that happening in the game.
Minnesota forward Jaden McDaniels broke his hand after he threw a punch to a wall on his way to locker room.
Not the best time for the team to unravel especially when they’re playing in the NBA Play-In Tournament later this week.
Hopefully everything all works out before facing LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in LA coming up. If they don’t, it’ll be an ugly offseason for the Timberwolves.
