Miguel Cabrera Hits 350th Career Home Run as a Detroit Tiger in Blinding Snow (Video)

Written by Nate

Today is one of the greatest days in all sports as it was Opening Day 2021 for all of Major League Baseball.

And one of the best moments of the afternoon came in Detroit as Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera hit a sky-high home run to right field home run lines off Cleveland Indians pitcher and defending AL Cy Young winner Shane Bieber.

The best part of all that was the home run ball was hit in blinding snow conditions during the bottom of the first inning in Detroit.

It, in fact, could be the first official home run of the 2021 season, according to Barstool Sports and BS Detroit. It was also his 350th home run of Hall-of-Fame caliber career.

You can see in the video that Cabrera slid into second base, thinking he had a ground-ruled double, but he was given the signal that it was a home run.

It continues a good day for the Tigers, as they currently lead Cleveland, 3-0, in the game.
