New York Mets relief pitcher Brooks Raley was part of Team USA’s bullpen for the WBC tournament, but was removed from the roster on Saturday morning and replaced by Aaron Loup.
Raley underwent imaging yesterday after experiencing tightness in his left hamstring. The images showed a low grade hamstring strain. He will return to Port St. Lucie and [the team will] update his timeline when appropriate, as per the New York Mets.
Raley is supposed to be a key component of the Mets bullpen after a standout 2022 season with the Tampa Bay Rays (1-2, 2.68 ERA, 6 SV, 61 K, 0.97 WHIP).
