After three days of waiting and three days of speculating, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic is reporting that the Mets and James McCann have finally reached an agreement. It will be a near-$10M AAV over the course of four seasons for the All-Star backstop, reportedly.

Although Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that it’ll be slightly above the $40M pricetag. McCann, who came up with the Tigers, has spent the last two years in the Southside of Chicago. He’s been great for the Sox, hitting to an .808 OPS while also improving on defense.

The Mets finally have their catcher.
