The Dolphins are hosting the 32 year old Melvin Ingram for a visit, as first reported by Ian Rapoport. I am told that the Dolphins are very high on Ingram and look to sign him, and that he has been working out with star CB Xavien Howard, per source.
Ingram was drafted 18th overall by the Chargers in the 2012 NFL Draft. On June 11, 2017, Ingram signed a four-year, $66 million contract with $42 million guaranteed with the Chargers, and played out his contract until he was signed by the #Steelers. The Steelers traded Ingram during the 2021 season to the KC Chiefs in exchange for a 6th round pick. Ingram feels that he deserves to be a starter and is looking to refresh his career as a dominant pass rusher, and the #Dolphins may just be the team to help him accomplish that. He only had 2 sacks during all of last season and played minimal snaps, but the #Dolphins may try to get him back to form to a 7+ sack rusher.
