Mac Jones Blows Up On The Sideline In Mediocre Patriots Loss

Written by Tony Ghaul

The New England Patriots were thoroughly dominated by the Buffalo Bills in 24-10 loss at home on Thursday night.

Patriots QB Mac Jones was extremely frustrated. He was seen Amazon Prime’s broadcast at one point during Thursday night’s game yelling “throw the [expletive] ball. [Expletive] short game sucks. [Expletive].”

Jones said following the game that he wasn’t directing his frustration at anyone in particular during that moment, but was trying to light a spark under the Patriots’ offense.

The Patriots were home at Gillette Stadium with their slim playoff hopes in jeopardy. The Bills kicked in the doors at Gillette Stadium and beat the Patriots senseless to prove that they now them.

The Bills are the only team during the Patriots’ Bill Belichick era to defeat New England by double-digits in three straight games (including regular season and playoffs), per ESPN Stats & Info. In addition, Buffalo has won three straight on the Patriots’ home field, making them the first to ever accomplish the feat.

The Patriots are nothing more than a mediocre football team. They have mediocre talent. Their are no playmakers on either side of the ball. Poor drafting and poor free agent signings have gotten them to this point. For example, picking Tyquan Thornton over George Pickens is a move that will haunt them.

Mac Jones is a serviceable QB, but the WR group of Thornton, Jakobi Myers, Nelson Agholor and Davante Parker, are nothing special at all. The offensive line is a below average and the defense is inconsistent.

The Patriots will be looking up at the Bills and Dolphins for years to come.
