Los Angeles Chargers finalizing deal to acquire Khalil Mack from the Chicago Bears

Written by Doug Rush

The Los Angeles Chargers nearly made the playoffs on the final week of the season. They’re about to make their defense a stronger one.

The Chargers are finalizing a deal to acquire pass-rushing linebacker/defensive end Khalil Mack from the Chicago Bears.

Mack is in the fourth year of a six-year, $141 million deal, but with the Bears rebuilding, they found a chance to move him and his contract.

Mack had six sacks in seven games for the Bears before undergoing a season-ending foot injury that required surgery.
